Preview: PFL World Tournament 6: Semifinals

Hadley vs. Alves

PFL 2025 Bantamweight Semifinal
Jake Hadley (12-4) vs. Marcirley Alves (13-4)

“White Kong” Hadley is an animal in the cage worthy of his nickname. The former UFC prospect earned his contract with a nasty rear-naked choke and raised his stock with every submission afterwards. The Birmingham, England, native just couldn’t keep up his momentum. The UFC let him walk, and Hadley took advantage of his fresh start in the PFL. Opening the tournament with a twister against Matheus Mattos instantly instilled Hadley as a unique threat in the bantamweight division. Alves is also a threat, but for a different reason. While Hadley makes mincemeat of fighters on the ground, Alves is one of the biggest punchers that the PFL bantamweight division has seen. His punches are explosive and violent, and he’ll be gunning for Hadley’s chin all night.

Alves upset tournament favorite Leandro Higo in the first round by jumping out to an explosive start. Hadley wants to slow the fight down and smother Alves, while the Brazilian should look it to make it a firefight. If Alves lines up Hadley’s chin, it won’t take much to take him out.
